I bought this product on Black Friday as a Christmas present early. It 'my first flat screen HD TV. I bought it on the information provided by Philips and the price.
It was set up a breeze. It took longer to pull out of the box when he was running. The remote is intuitive. The on-screen menus are simple and direct.
For me, as a conventional TV, the picture is excellent. The colors are rich and lush. The blacks are blacks. The detail is amazing. You can seethe pores of the skin newscasters. The screen is viewable from different angles.
The speakers are hidden in the case of units. The sound quality is excellent.
The creation of other devices (DVD player, game consoles) was easy. Has more connections than expected, I have (at least until now).
This unit offers a great value.

price vs. performance – N-da-O –
"I use this TV a few weeks ago for our children, for their ads. (XBOX 360 / WII, etc. ..) The graphics on the Xbox 360 with HDMI are incredible.
The sound is quite good. FWIW, the headphone jack is a nice feature for use w / wireless headphones. This means that children can put the headphones on and "voila!" Peace and tranquility.
The HD channels are very crisp / clear. Final standard is pretty good. (Standard-def much depends on the signal from your cable provider.)
Overall,gave the TV 5 stars b / c of its low price and reasonable money. This is not a high-end Sharp or Sony, so I am considering that in the review. However, it is several hundred dollars less than the high end. "
Best price for great 42″ LCD – Fish On – Annapolis, MD
Priced at $ 750 is probably a 42 "LCD, which has a high quality of this Philips, I had a Vizio 32" before the update and have seen a marked difference in image, sound and overall appearance !
