Pretty much, this TV rocks.

They have some at a local shop and I'm confused, people walk with them on their price point and buy a more expensive device TV bad.

It looks great with any source. SD, HD, it's great. Of course, things do not look as good with SD content, but you have a 46 "screen, where they are not able to gritty details as well as on an old 27 Do you see" set SDTV – is the technology is not magic.

Do yourself a favor and get your TVcalibrated. We took a copy of Elf on DVD and used his setup calibration image, the picture has gone from great even greater. E 'was impressive. I could not believe that it was better.

Video games, this thing is like an arcade monitor on steroids. They have not monitored for this thing in arcades.

Even super-fast game play buttery smooth everything looks. Even the old 16-bit video games look good on this monitor too.

Over the air HDTV lookslarge, especially at local level 1080th channel (PBS-HD). It looks like a monitor with DVI input instead of a television screen, which is as it seems good.

My complaint? I have a complaint. The TV signal meter does not stay longer than 2 minutes, and if I fit an external antenna look through the window in the trash cold and disappears, sucks.

But that was it. Family has to burn a 2-year-old Vizio plasma is the usual ghosting evident (butvanishes, see above), after the pictures.

Television does not even have a hint of ghosting, even at the beginning. I am perfectly comfortable with playing video games, for now. Is not a unique problem.

My Plasma Turned Into A Cheap LCD – Justin – New York
I bought my first HDTV 46U1 big screen. I have not spent too much money, but I did not want a cheap TV is not. 46U1 I found for sale at Wal-Mart for $ 698 and intervened.

From the first moment I turned, I was blown away! Beautiful pictures, vivid colors and a very important feature for me. Deep blacks.

About a month after the consumption of my new HDTV every day something changed. I first noticed the change, when I watch a movie with a nightScene. It showed a man walking on a road at night under a lamppost. I had seen this particular scene, a few weeks before, during use of the channels. What has changed is that the black level can be my U1, or produce the deepest black TV, now it was dark gray and black, not at all. I have not received much attention until a friend referred the same to me a few days later, while watching a movie. I was in The Dark Knight Blu-ray and low and behold my blacks were gray. The change was not subtleless, and it was clearly not just an AV-lovers, like me, but for everyone. I searched and found the wire and [...] original poster of which his G10 risen under the same black level. Since I found the thread, many G10 and even some owners who come to our V10 argue that their records are incorrect. Unfortunately, for those of us who have bought this TV, with our hard-earned money Panasonic denies the problem still exists. They argue that the increasenormal during the life of the plasma. While this is true, the change is usually for the duration of the TV to see the changes, some of us that occur in the course of 1-3 months. Much earlier than normal, safe.

Enough, but for the rest of 46U1! The image quality, although gray-black, looks very good. Nice rich colors and decently accurate. SD material looks good, but provides stunning, high content, especially Blu-ray played via my PS3. Thebuilt-in speakers are actually quite good and are a bit 'of grit as well. The menu options are very limited, as expected on a cheaper model, but there are enough to make the image and sound to your liking. The set looks good on my AV cabinet. A nice deep black frame, although a bit 'thick for my taste, still manages to look slim. A thin strip of silver accents the setting on the bottom. The stand is very stable, but not rotated. One thing to be carefulScratches. Make sure you clean the frame and the screen with microfiber cloth and cotton and paper products, such as the surfaces are easily scratched if not careful!

Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase the book only with booking. A good initial plasma, which could be great, if not for a flaw in the design of the TV and all other 2009 Panasonic plasma. All that is influenced by the cheapest to the most expensive '09 Panasonic Plasma. Will be the new 2010 modelstill the problem? Only time will tell, but I would avoid a sale and, instead, Samsung or LG, instead of searching.

Panasonic TC-P46U1 Review – P. Basinger – Central Arkansas
Let me echo D Robertson. I had a similar experience. I had a previous version of 42-inch Panasonic Plasma 720P. I love it, and it is a great record. I prefer the plasma on the LCD. After two years, I decided to go to the games room and an upgrade to a 46 inch 1080 in the parlor. I have the TCP 46UI at Wal Mart for the grand prize of $ 698 after a day I back. The image is only weak. In any case, as well as my old one. I read that then you might get Energy StarReview and I think that perhaps it is not prohibited in CA. They have cut production to reduce energy consumption. No matter how I mess with the settings to make it brighter, it would be something of lives. Although I could see the resolution is better than my old 720 series, I could not live with the weak performance. It reminded me of an old TV where the color was to go forward. Let me introduce the other models with the TCP Energy Star rating, are also dimmer.

If there had never been aprevious plasma Panasomic or you set your HD in the first place, I can see how you think this is would be great. But one place to another for older models, this is a loser.

Follow up. I checked the official website of Panasonic, and this model has 200 watts less power than other models 46inches, it's no wonder that the dim-out. There are 200 more (fun, $ 1 per watt) and got the TCP 46S1 from Amazon and the image is great, not output to the screen dark. I'm happy as I am with the old. DoBuy the U-model. Buy If you go to the website of professional calibration settings for a large photo:
